The menu blade for 'Alpha' should take you right to the download for the Black Ops Cold War alpha. I’m not sure if there will be another Alpha open to PC and Xbox players but we do know the dates for the upcoming Beta next month. Alternatively, you can access the alpha via the menu for Call of Duty: Warzone. But before players can experience the Cold War, the first stop is a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War alpha.

I’m really curious to see how this works in action.įor more on Champion Hill and other Call Of Duty: Vanguard info read our guide. 1 This year’s Call of Duty game is almost here. The four Champion Hill maps are actually all connected on one larger map with a central Buy Station area where eliminated players can spectate ongoing matches. This cash can be used to buy perks, weapon upgrades and extra lives (etc.) so this is not quite as much the level playing field as Gunfight, for better or worse (we shall soon find out).

Players compete across 4 maps with destructible environments and unlike Gunfight, you’ll have multiple lives and will earn cash for wins and kills.

This is basically like Gunfight in Modern Warfare or Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War but with a few important twists.įirst off, it’s a tournament between 8 teams of 2v2 or 3v3 (though I believe 1v1 will be in the final product as well). This weekend’s Alpha is focused entirely on the Champion Hill mode.
